How Emergic MailServ Works

Internet Access
Internet Email
1. NS MailServ V3 dials the Internet Service Provider (ISP) and connects to the Internet. If one number is busy, it automatically tries other numbers sequentially.
1. Once NS MailServ V3 is connected to the Internet, incoming email gets transferred from the Netcore Mail Server (NMS) on the Internet to the local NS MailServ V3.
2. Once connected, all users on the LAN get Internet access from their desktops. Access can be restricted.
2. Email is then either routed to the internal email system, if any, or put into the individual user mailboxes directly.
3. All this is done over a single phone-line, with a single modem and a single TCP/IP account.
3. External outgoing email is sent to the NMS, from where it is sent onwards to the destination.
4. In case of heavy traffic, ISDN line can be used to increase bandwidth for browsing.
4. For mobile users, dynamic POP accounts are created upon request at the NMS.
